ONE YEAR.

Words cannot describe this year. They truly can’t. My heart could seriously burst at the amount love I feel when I look at this girl. Being her mom is one of the greatest joys I have ever experienced. Watching her grow from the tiniest (eh, not so tiny) nugget to this active, hilarious, snuggly bug has been more amazing than I could have ever imagined.

This baby is not really a baby any more. She eats almost anything you put in front of her – including brussel sprouts, but excluding avocado (weird). She continues to sleep like a boss (or, just like her mother). She is so. dang. close. to walking. (Come. ON. baby!) She has a hilarious sense of humor and loves to laugh with the big folks around her. She is a stinker, smirking as we tell her not to drop her food or crawl into the fire place (!!!!!). And she easily traverses the line between wrestling and snuggling. She wants to be hung upside down and thrown on the couch just as often as she wants a hug and snuggle.

We’ve spent this past week doing a lot of remembering, and I can’t really believe all that has happened. It feels like we have had this girl with us for so much longer than a year, but I also remember our first few days with ease. More than anything, it is simply amazing to watch our daughter grow.

From 8 lb, 10 oz to pushing-25 lbs, this little chunky love has been the best thing to ever happen to us. We cannot wait to see where we’ll go from here!

Here is the photo progression from one month to twelve!
